When I went there in the eighties, I thought the place was magical. It's gotten a bit crowded and rather upscale since then ....

Indeed, back then it was still affordable and not very crowded. We went for 2 weeks, 4 islands all inclusive (flights, hotels and car on the outer islands) for 1,500$ per person. Incredible if you look for something like this today.
