Eagle Mountain Pumping Plant (7834)

I didn't always pay close attention to Roy, our tour leader, because of the noise and because I was running around taking photos, but I believe what's going on here is that they are treating and testing Colorado River water that will go into the local water system for use by employees and their families who live at the plant.

The aqueduct water continuing on to Los Angeles gets chlorinated too to control the plants and animals that might want to grow there. Last year they increased the amount of chloringe to try to eliminate invasive mussels.
