The number six in parentheses above is arbitrary. Actually, I haven't counted the number of times I've photographed flowers on the table--plenty, surely. But on bleak winter days, when daylight is meager, bland, uninspiring, the color and flamboyance of flowers is sweet compensation.
That Vase of Flowers

On the Table in Morning Light

It has become almost a daily ritual, circling the vase of flowers when there's good light, looking from one point of view then another, one camera, another, a variation of lenses, of apertures. Too many pictures, no doubt, certainly more than can be shared without being indulgent. A pleasure nonetheless.
