Il est toujours triste de voir un arbre sain abattu et abandonné, mais Judite a raison, abattre un arbre est parfois nécessaire pour une gestion intelligente de la forêt.....
Belle photo , j'aime cette composition avec l'arbre en diagonale.... N&B toujours excellent !

You are right, some trees have to be cut down and remove to keep a forest healthy.
This particular tree was very weak, so weak that it felled down during one of severe tempests we had last year. Do you see those sprouts aligned against the trunk? These were the culprits.
And there was a fence there too. The tree squashed it down.
