Does it have a common name? I know I had it in a garden once and never found it out although I alway liked it. A very congenial photo (I am presuming a photo can be congenial!), Keith!

Glad you like it Andy. It's also called Sicilian Honey Garlic and Mediterranean Bells.

I recognised it as part of the onion (allium) family but didn't know which one, Keith. I will look it up for it's geographical range (these things I find intrisically interesting) and for its possible cullinary use. If it is good in the kitchen, I will be annoyed because when I had in my garden I hadn't yet become interested in cooking!!

OK. Just looked it up and I am annoyed with myself!
