The moon can be considered one of the motors for Earth. As its gravitational tug sweeps across the Earth it generates the tides that allow for diverse life produced by its ebb and flow. It's a handy night light too!

Full Moonrise Behind Branches

On Feb 13 I was at the grocery store parking lot when I noticed the full moon rising. I put on the long lens zoomed in. This is 1/2 sec @ f40. I didn't have my tripod so I leaned the camera against a tree and took this shot doing my best to get moon and branches in focus. I like the effect.

Forgot that it was a super moon tonight but by fluke I notice it rising when I let my dog Darby out. Thanks Darby for wanting to go outside.
