Happy Bench Monday!

Happy Bench Monday!
Somebody else's orange peel. I just found it. Don't look at me, eh? Oh, you can't.

Thanks, Joe. I hadn't really considered that. All the best to you, too.

This person did you a favor because otherwise this would not be such an outstanding HBM shot !

I particularly like how the peel artfully extends over the end of the bench, Isabel.

Fun. Well composed. Nice to see bright colors this time of year (for me in the northern hemisphere).

Thanks, Laura. Winter to me seems like living in a Japanese ink drawing. Everything black or white (actually, tree bark and white).

Yes, that is a good image of winter. Here in Portland, Oregon though, we also have a lot of evergreen trees and bushes, so, black and white and green (though not the fresh green of spring).

I stole the image from J. R. Ackerley, Laura, although I don't think he used it to describe winter. I think of it every winter. though. There are many evergreens in the region here, but London seems to have concentrated on deciduous trees. I'd never noticed that before, so thanks for pointing that out. The green we get in winter is from the many temperature swings as the jetstream swings back and forth across the lower Great Lakes. We've had lots of snow on the ground for the last couple of weeks. but it's expected to thaw over the next few days.
