Lots of interesting elements to look at here, John. The juxtaposition of horizontal and vertical words is very effective. Have a great Sunday! All the best, Joe

It is interesting to see the variety of things on display.

I thought postcards would disappear with the cameras of smart phones, but surprisingly they remain.

I'm surprised postcards are still around, too, kiiti.

Iced coffee is an option here, Gudrun, but I don't know that it's wildly popular.

There's obviously a lot of valuable items in there behind those bars. Nicely captured John.

It resembles the variety stores of my childhood, Keith, where you could actually buy a wide variety of items. The contemporary "convenience" store is convenient mainly for milk, soft drinks, and potato crisps.

Incidentally, are you familiar with the term pop for soft drinks? My Norfolk relatives were stumped when I sprang that on them. It's used in both Canada and the Midwest and Northern US.

Yes indeed, "pop" was a common name for soft fizzy drinks when I was young...............and still fairly common nowadays too.

Just not in Norfolk, I guess. A friend of mine from Bolton has used the term "corporation pop" for water.

I like shops like this! An effective antidote to soulless Supermarkets...

The chain convenience stores are pretty soulless here too, Denis. Fridges full of pop and racks full of crisps.
