Sophie took second place in our group at today's Rally competition! <3 Her friend Riggin (on the right) took first place, with an almost perfect score (99/100). <3

Sophie got *two* ribbons at today's Rally competition - she placed second (red ribbon) in our group (Rally - Novice A). :D This was her third qualifying Novice run (green ribbon), and so tomorrow we move up to Intermediate. :D

"Oh wait, now how do I get down...."
When she was a kitten she'd make a big show of being stuck in trees, on the shed roof, on a high shelf... But of course as soon as I hauled the ladder over and started climbing up to rescue her she'd get down on her own. This time she actually waited until I was two steps up the ladder and then hopped down onto my shoulder... I think it was the narrowness of the perch and the tightness of the space - she couldn't really turn around, and wasn't entirely sure about which way to jump...

Pretty sure there was nothing actually in the nest, and she was just cleaning nest-fluff off her nose... ;)

Poor little mourning dove... I keep telling them not to build their nests in that spot!

It was a beautiful morning for Rally class! :) Still lots of snow on the mountains, but here it was nice and sunny and too warm for even a light jacket. I think winter may finally be over... :D

After a long day of playing in the snow, Sophie changed into her warm winter jammies, rolled herself into her warm fleece blankie, and burrowed under her towel for a nice long nap. :)

The snow - and wind - stopped just as we got to the dog park... The whole front half of Small Dogs was a giant ankle-deep lake, so we played with the Big Dogs today. :)
