Maiden's Hair

Maiden's Hair
I see a lilly on thy brow,
With anguish moist and fever dew;
And on thy cheek a fading rose
Fast withereth too.
I met a lady in the meads
Full beautiful, a faery's child;
Her hair was long, her foot was light,
And her eyes were wild.

- John Keats

... and now I must prepare my paper for the conference this weekend - away in Oxford Friday to Sunday.

My Awake Gottica (m.a.g), , , and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

"cruelty....thy name is ..." Man or Time on passing love
fading rose on one side ,
fairy's child on the other

I know those huge and kingsized trees, which originally come from Korea...I had to take back those leaves for my sister and me who make the most wonderful and decorative paper out of those leaves, or nettles or any

I saw some huge specimens in various temple grounds in Yunnan Province! made our European specimens look quite weak. It is now well-represented in Cambridge, where it is a popular street tree. This one was in the Bedgebury National Pinetum, which I visited last week.

Children born of fairy stock
Never need for shirt or frock,
Never want for food or fire,
Always get their heart's desire:
Jingle pockets full of gold,
Marry when they're seven years old.
Every fairy child may keep
Two strong ponies and ten sheep;
All have houses, each his own,
Built of brick or granite stone;
They live on cherries, they run wild--
I'd love to be a Fairy's child.

I think I was one when I was 10 or so. : a fairy's child running wild, living during the holidays at ma grand father's palce in a village.roaming, running up and down the hills looking for underground ways under tumbled down castles in Burgundy , and deciding I would live on the forest only, picking and living on any fruit even not ripe, on chestnuts, nuts...I know why I like green fruit , not ripe I mean : just because I couldn't wait ...
