OF LYRICAL ASTONISHMENT

You sit in the shade and you know
that only the twilight soothes
your urgency, your thirst for rain
and the reverse of things
the astonishment at night
the words madness,
the urgency that rips the real
a claw of nothing, a stone
in your path.

And you look for the chisel,
the alchemical plough, the compass
and the mathematical rhythm of the verse,
the accurate and lyrical blow
the dream wing that implodes life
and sweeps the melancholy,
the minimum shiver.

The poem is born
with the light of the abyss
irrefutable.

DO ASSOMBRO LÍRICO

Sentas-te na sombra e sabes
que apenas o crepúsculo acalma
a tua urgência, a tua sede de chuva
e do avesso das coisas
e da noite o assombro
o desvario de palavras,
essa urgência que rasga o real
uma garra de nada, uma pedra
no teu caminho.

E procuras o escopro,
o arado alquímico, o compasso
e o ritmo matemático do verso,
esse golpe certeiro e lírico,
essa asa de sonho que implode a vida
e varre a melancolia,
o estremecimento mínimo.

O poema nasce
com a luz do abismo
irrecusável.
