Danke dir, Ulrich! Das finde ich auch. Ich liebe diesen Weg. Ich war nun schon zum dritten Mal dort und es ist immer wieder von Neuem faszinierend.

Es war definitiv der richtige Weg, Hubs! ;-)
Und ja, der Gletscher zieht sich sehr schnell zurück. Ich war vor 13 Jahren zuletzt auch im August dort oben. Damals war das Gletschertor viel weiter vorne am See und es kam so wenig Wasser, dass man ins Gletschertor hineingehen konnte. Das ist jetzt undenkbar! Es kommt so viel Schmelzwasser und von oben "regnet" es Steine, die vom Gletscher abrutschen und hinunterfallen.

Das kommt ganz drauf an, Karin. An Wochenenden ist da deutlich mehr los. Wir haben dort übernachtet und konnten schon früh starten. Als wir am Mittag zurückkamen, da waren schon viel mehr Wanderer unterwegs.
Aber die Gegend ist atemberaubend schön! Die ganze Grimselgegend hat mit ihrem wunderschönen Granit eine ganz besondere Energie. Ich liebe es, dort zu sein!

Wenn ich die Markierung auf dem Weg in die herrliche Gletscherwelt sehe, bekomme ich Fernweh, Antje, besser gesagt Bergweh! Da kommt so mancher Erinnerung an frühere Bergwanderungen hoch.
