Diese kleinen naivenTonfiguren sind Pfeifen -
nicht zum Rauchen !
sondern einen lauten schrillen Ton zu erzeugen ;-)))

Ich würde mir "kleine Geschichten für zwischendurch" ausleihen, da hat man immer wieder was davon :-) Obwohl "Mann und Frau" auch interessant klingt, ich würde es gern im Original "Men and Women" lesen.

I would borrow Sartor Resartus; an author condemned by history for his puerile views on race, and unread now. I read his History of the French Revolution many years ago, and found it vivid and very readable.

Steve, This is a novel by Thomas Carlyles, which tells the story of the German professor 'Diogenes Teufelsdröckh and his work 'The Clothes, Their Development and Work', first published in 1833/34.

“To our less philosophical readers, for example, it is now clear that the so passionate Teufelsdrockh precipitated through "a shivered Universe" in this extraordinary way, has only one of three things which he can next do: Establish himself in Bedlam; begin writing Satanic Poetry; or blow out his brains.”
― Thomas Carlyle, Sartor Resartus.
I intend to write Satanic Poetry; it’s the best option.
