By the way, thank you so much for your lovely comments about Vancouver Island! I so enjoyed your story about gasping into the gas station on fumes in Uclulet! :D It is quite a distance from the east side to the two towns on the west in that area! And you are right, times have changed! Ucluelet is a DARLING town that we adored, and some absolutely incredible hiking there. But Tofino was a complete waste of time. Overpriced, WAY too touristy, and just had no personality whatsoever. Maybe we didn't get to the right area of Tofino but it was a big ZERO in our book. I'll be posting pictures of our adventures that day, but not sure when I'll get to them...one day at a time! :D
