Seen on the wall of the Black Boy Inn, at Stryd Pedwar a Chwech, Caernarfon. In old times this inn was sought by sailors for overnight stays: extras like company in bed or booze on the bedside table implied an extra payment...

This old inn also has restaurant service. Outside you can see a black buoy with a painting of a black boy - this rises some speculation about which was the original name, probably misunderstood until it was replaced by another which sounded just about the same.
