Among the icebergs of Disko Bay

Walbeobachtung in der Disko-Bucht: die Buckelwale tauchten mit Vorliebe nahe bei oder unter den Eisbergen, offensichtlich gab es dort viel Krill. The iceberg on the right resembles Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie;-) Sieht der rechte Eisberg nicht ein bisschen wie die Elphi aus?;-)

Ein kurzes Lebenszeichen... Ich bin momentan sehr beschäftigt und nur selten hier auf Ipernity, nächstes Jahr wird besser! Just a brief sign of life.... I am extremely busy at the moment and rarely manage to be here on Ipernity, I hope to be fully back next year!

Smaller bits of ice from Sermeq Kujalleq glacier often make it into the narrow harbour of Ilulissat.

Greenlandic sled dogs are no pets, this is a working environment! All dogs are chained except for the puppies and sleddog areas are usually signposted. Tourists trying to get too near risk being bitten (you'd better have a rabies shot) and often get foul mouthed comments from locals.
