Having been approached during 2010, during the scheme's development, Stanegate Restorations and Replicas have hosted a total of seven trainees on placements during 2011, 2012, 2013 and have done so again in 2014, the last year of the scheme; in which we have offered training and practical experience in the skills involved in heritage restoration, working mainly in timber.

We have also hosted placements from other schemes, such as voluntary work experience for various people, including the young unemployed and various "Kick Start" style schemes.
