Leyland National 50 event. A gathering of Leyland National buses at their birthplace at the former Leyland factory at Lillyhall, Workington.
This place was also responsible for the production of the despised Class 142 DMUs, which were essentially a Leyland National bus on a 4 wheel bogie.

East Yorkshire Leyland National 2 LAG 188V, fleet no 188. This is the first production Leyland National 2, entering service in January 1980. It later went on to work for East Midland Motor Services and Chester City Transport, before being acquired for preservation in 2003.

City Busways

Leyland Atlantean AVK 176V fleet no 176 was delivered new to the Byker – Newcastle – depot of Tyne and Wear PTE in August 1980. Upon deregulation in 1986, this became Busways Travel Services.

Northumbria 369

Delivered new to Eastern National in 1985, this Leyland Olympian, B693 BPU, was employed on longer distance routes in South East Essex/East London.
Following a spell with various owners, the vehicle passed into preservation in 2018, and is currently painted in the colours of Northumbria Motor Services.
