HFF Altea Alicante Valencia Spain 27th February 2024
MAN 2500 series diesel railcar 2509 on the 16.22 tram/train service to Denia approaches Altea's 1911 station on the Alicante - Denia narrow gauge line.

Today this route is L9 of FGV (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana) and interfaces with the main Alicante overhead electrified tram system at Benidorm Intermodal station several kilometres to the right. We took the tam/train from Calpe & in both directions it was packed with passengers.

Thanks Peter. The railcar is actually approaching. The tracks are are either bi-directionally signalled or this signal controls the exit from the line on the right. In either case this one is showing red (it does look orangey I admit) as it should.
