Australian Pied Oystercatcher

The Australian Pied Oystercatcher is found in coastal areas throughout the Australian continent except for areas of unbroken sea cliffs such as the Great Australian Bight. They seldom allow a close approach and are readily disturbed by people.

I see a lot of Oystercatchers around our coast. An excellent capture here with that lens. I have the Nikon N AF-S 70-200 F4 but its a beast! Much smaller and lighter is my DX 70-300 but with a loss of quality too. Well done.
