Hi Dani, this tree was blown over during one of the big storms that we suffer every now and then. As luck would have it, it was tall enough, (now long enough) to span the lake at this point.
The lake was formed by a weir across the river down stream to the left of this shot

And this one seems still alive.

yes, some of its roots are still in the ground and now it lies down to rest ~
