Sierra de La Cabrera. Madrid is a smudge on the horizon between the two left-hand pillars.
This was the last time I went walking in these mountains. My objective is to get back up there next spring and that will involve a lot of physiotherapy! But no pain no gain!

Griffon vultures on Cancho de La Bola, Sierra de la Cabrera.
First posted in 2012 on Panoramio but never on ipertinity for some reason / oversight. Still, better late than never!

Griffon vulture on El Cancho de La Bola. A clear day - Uceda, a village in Guadalajara province can be clearly seen here in mid-distance. Normally the heat haze or Madrid smog doesn't allow me to see that far.
It has been suggested that full-screen works well here.

I had lost this in a folder that I had forgotten had a few old photos in it!. I was doing some computer housework and came across this and one or two others. I knew I had it somewhere!! Taken in 1972 on a Russian Kosmic 35, 35mm camera, which I used in the early 70s as a teenager.
Just out of site but below the rock window are the famous vineyards of Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages, Gigondas.

South West Peninsula coast Path between Basset Cove and Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath, Cornwall. For Pam. Full screen best, I think.
I simply felt like showing it again. It cheers me up! Hope it does the same for you. An addition to Project 21, April: Flowers.
H. A. N. W. E. everybody!

Fisherman's Cove and The Knavocks, Reskajeage, Cornwall. Apparently an 'official' nudist beach but since it went official, the naturists have gone elsewhere!

And she didn't give permission.
The coast line between Porthtowan and Portreath, Cornwall. In the far distance is Godrevy Lighthouse and even further, St Ives.

A path near my new home. The path is incredibly steep (to give you an idea, look at how close the two lamp posts are in relation to each other). The steepest section is just out of sight, after the top four shallow steps. I don't dare use it in the wet or, even worse, in ice! (Railings not provided!).
The murk is not just twilight but in addition the sand cloud we get from the Sahara from time to time. The mountains should be visible on the horizon but they aren't due to the 'Calima' or sand cloud. You can actually taste the sand on your tongue!
Even more coastal erosion

Near Porthtowan, Cornwall. The coast path went across here not all that long ago. Full screen best here I think.

Photo taken in August 2014. I previously walked this stretch of coast path in the summer of 2010 and the path did indeed go straight across from this point! A massive land slip had occurred in those few years. Porthtowan and St Agnes Beacon can be seen. First posted on ipernity in 2018. Better on large.

Griffon Vultures, Cancho de La Bola, Sierra de La Cabrera. Granite. Madrid Province
This one again (first shown on ipernity in 2016), simply because it is a favourite of mine.

On a good sunny summer's day on the Southwest Peninsular coast path, Northcliffs above Greenbank Cove.
Another strip of coast that fell into the sea a few years ago.
I know I posted this before possibly more than once, but I long long ago ran out of fresh Cornwall photos.
HFF! (a tricky shot, almost directly into the sun!…

A very sunny day and the colour of the sea was magical! More like Greece than Cornwall!
Samphire and Asparagus Islands seen here. Strictly speaking the near island (Samphire) hasn't been an island since a serious cliff fall - about 40 years ago - blocked the channel even at the highest of tides.
