It's in Spanish but it does say it was planted 20 years either side of 1940. I would rule out 1936 to about 1946 as the Civil War and subsequent battlefield debris here (unexploded bombs, etc.) would make this an unlikely planting era for the park. The size of this and other trees suggests to me that it is a survivor of the war and must have been planted in the earlier development of the park in the first few decades of the 20th century. Just a guess though!

But all the trees in this very tree-y park are protected. and rightly so!
