Just seen, John! Sorry for late reply!
No I last was (worked) in the City of London in the early '90s. Broadgate Station I think had been renovated by then (I'm not 100% certain) but I certainly never went there after that time and didn't notice it if it had been there earlier!
I worked in the West End of London mainly and in the '80s (it seems like yesterday!) so missed the big building boom that came immedately afterwards in the City. The last time I was in the City I saw The Gherkin and was astonished because I thought it was still in the design stage. I reckon that might have been around 2004 or 5.

Wow that hand is extremely fat, yet the fingers are slim. It looks like a great piece of sculpture,

I think it's one of those you either love or loathe. A bit 'Marmite' in other words!!
(For the record, I loathe it but love Marmite!)
