A house I would love to live in.

A house I would love to live in.
Cerro de La Cabeza, Sierra de La Cabrera. Granite country. GR10 Trans-Iberia long-distance path.
How on earth did they get planning permission to build this isolated house here? Friends in high places, no doubt. This is Spain after all.

Yes, I must agree with you, inasmuch I would love to live there too. I think you are right about building such modern houses in these wild places. Thank goodness for our planning laws here in Britain to restrain such things. - A great photo all the same.

Have a good week. Herb

Such a fantastic location...............wild, remote and beautiful. It should be left that way, but if someone insists on building a house, it should at least blend into the landscape, unlike this one! Nevertheless, this is a lovely image Andy.

Thanks, Keith. In fact this house isn't really all that isolated but can be thought of as an outpost of a recent development out of shot. It's the whole devopment that I object to; it is certainly out of keeping with the countryside.

Is that your mushroom rock in the picture? It looks a nice house and you're probably right about friends in high places. I wouldn't mind a holiday there but too isolated for me. Good shot Andy.

Thank you, Rosa.
Mushroom rock is at the other end of the Sierra about 5 miles away and on the ridge (which is behind me), not in a valley. But I can see what you mean!

Surely beautiful to live there.... but with my Southern vision I would say that not without a private chopper on my backyard to escape possible fire...
