Nokia N95 R.I.P. (From Godrevy Point to St Agnes Head, Cornwall)

The very last photo I uploaded from my much-lamented Nokia N95 camera-phone (a much better camera than a phone, I would say!). The next day I dropped it in a piece of marshy ground and it was past recovering even though I tried to dry it out in a bag of rice, as recommended by all and sundry!
The lichen on the rock really is this bright!

I thought it was common knowledge that rice (uncooked of course!) draws out the moisture of something like a mobile phone. It has been known to work. My sister rescued one which had got splashed by a lorry speeding through a puddle, She kept it in a jar of rice for a few days and it was as right as rain after!

What a great farewell - R.I.P Nokia.

My old bag for my very old Nokia "I don't know what" is broken and so I threw the phone during the last 2 month 4 times on the ground, well: solid ground. It still works ...
The other day I forgot a USB-Stick in my jeans. It took a whole 60°C-washing ... and still works, not a single data lost. Astonishly!
