The most common oak around here is the holm oak (encina) but this isn't it and I really don't know which one it is, but there are a few of this variety in these mountains and it certainly is colourful in November!
I have a Spanish reference book and it is possible that is a hybrid 'Quercus x neomairei nothosubsp. numantina (Q. faginea subsp. faginea x Q. pyrenaica) .
