Never look down the slope! :) Skye, I loved it, but of course, I didn't have the time climbing up the mountains and to be honest, I wouldn't have the strength anymore. I visited the otter sanctuary instead and I wanted to see them in a bay, but was nearly being eaten by tiny mosquitoes - I fled in panic :) May

May, they are called midges and can be horrible. I was lucky on the two week-long visits I made in 1978 and 1980.

Campayo, well seen! But not so! There wasn't much rain in the weeks before our visit. The leather does have scratches from the granite but the boots look clean because 1, they were relatively new and 2, there wasn't any mud (incredibly for The British Isles!)!
