June, 2011 A wildflower meadow near the Convento Monasterio San Julian y San Antonio. Cantueso = lavender meadow (wild, not cultivated).

What a wealth of wild flowers here, Andy. I can see lavender, santolina, poppies, mullein and various grasses. Bearing in mind that this meadow is near a monastery, do you think that any of these plants are for medicinal use?

Thank you Amelia. There are 100s of fields in the area just like this one. I dare say the monks used many wild flowers and plants but I don't think they were planted specifically for that purpose. Best wishes, Andy
