Tingley Road, looking toward California
This taken is the day before a lightning fire started near the Lava Beds in California and will now have obscured this view. The fire has grown to the tens of thousands of acres and the towns of Tulelake and Newell, plus dozens of big ranches, have been evacuated.
There are two more fires in my vacinity (one in CA, one in OR), also caused by lightning. The sky above me is brown with smoke. It is the season of dry thunder storms.

Bad news about the fires.............I hope no one is hurt (or worse) and that the ones near you don't get any closer!
Take care!
