"My shoe got in the water."

A tiny video from an old phone, about 2011.
It's at Diamond Lake, west of Klamath Falls, a
favorite campground for several generations.

Jean-luc Drouin, tiabunna, Peggy C and 2 other people have particularly liked this video

Happened quite often to me at that age - and most of the time not only the shoe ...
Keep well all together over there!

Hi, Leon, we're trying. We have to quarantine ourselves because our government is busy being stupid. Thank you!

Ha, ha.................I spent most of my childhood getting wet and muddy in the small stream than ran past our house............and of course, it was never my fault..!!

The funny thing is that she has never, ever been picky about getting wet or dirty. I don't know why she remarked about it that day. ;-)

Thank you, Keith!

Is this a play called "Mizukiri" in my country?

Mizukiri is a game of throwing a stone with spin toward the water surface to make it skip over the water, sometimes competing how many times the stone skips.

Yes, exactly! We just call it "skipping rocks (or stones)." It takes a lot of practice to get it right! ;-b

Childhood is loads of fun, if you're lucky! I remember these simple pleasures very fondly. Now, both kids are glued to their phones, but I'm not sure how much fun they're having. ;-o

Thank you, George.

Hi Diane,
long time no see! How is life over there in Oregon? The fact that you are still here shows me that you are ok, at least.
Have a good time and stay healthy!

I'm fine, just hunkered down all by myself. Trying to stay alive, like everyone else! Thanks for your concern, poly!
