The Wonders of Mallorca: Cooking Mediterranean style!
Deia – We have reached our lunchtime destination of this wonderful rustic bar/restaurant perched on the cliff side overlooking clear blue waters. (see previous photo for views from here).

The ‘Restaurante Sa Foradada’ describes itself as: “being in the perfect surrounding. Its Mediterranean balcony is located high on the cliffs facing the small peninsula of Sa Foradada." See PiPs

“We specialize in rice and paella cooked in wood, local fish and seafood, salads, local desserts and, in general, Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine, with the extra touch of flavor provided by the sea breeze.”

How true, as our meal and photos of the cooking surely testify to.

Haha, I think your taste buds have been touched Rosa! Glad you liked the feel of these pictures as much as me. The bench shown does not do the place real justice though as a whole series of table cloth covered benches and tables faced the open peninsular towards the yacht, seen over a small wall and fence with flowers everywhere. The smells of the food was tantalising with a nice choice of wines too. Ah pleasant memories........

Another great comment by you Judite. A lot of work and effort to make it all happen here. I think all the ingredients had to be brought from the top via the trail by foot alone. My pleasure to include you here too in this landscape and establishment.

I think tat many people would dream to come to a place like this one Dany. Unfortunately its isolated location makes that pretty difficult.

This image has a wonderful ambience Herb - I can almost smell the cooking food from here!

I love the colour palette and the little details you've captured. I like the 2nd PiP too - putting the restaurant into it's clifftop context but the 1st PIP is fantastic - I can almost feel the heat..!!
