Dear members and friends of ipernity!
1) After having fixed the card and skrill payment issues just very recently, we are happy to confirm that the financial side of Ipernity has significantly stabilized. We already lowered the operation costs considerably and aspire to lower them further until the end of the year.
2) The latest bug, concerning the Google translator, has also been fixed.
3) Already, many existing club members have renewed their membership. However, some people have had some challenges completing the process of becoming paid club members. To support them, Don Sutherland has written instructions and screenshots, which might be gathered here: www.ipernity.com/group/2260604/discuss/188378
4) As many of you have already noticed, ipernity's Facebook and Twitter accounts have also been maintained. You may find the links to those accounts on the bottom of all ipernity pages. (ipernity's Google+ account is no longer available. We will remove the link to that later.)
5) Meanwhile we have finished a redesign study for the ipernity frontpage. To keep the expenses for its realization as low as possible, it isn't an entire relaunch, but only a further development of the existing layout. We've tidied it up and completed with functions, which you desired in different discussions or which are required for the pending changes of the website. Furthermore it's inspired by the idea to replace the running advertising shots by pictures, which are made by us members ourselves! We have so many great photographers within our network that we don't need impersonal agency pictures any longer. You'll find the design study within this blog under "photos". Your opinions are very welcome. (But don't mention them below, please. Put them directly underneath the study.)

MERCI a VOUS ;
1) One way to get new members is to advertise the web site on social media.
2) If ipernity is down, people can report about it to ima on Facebook and Twitter. Also ima team can use those accounts to inform people on the situation.
3) Social media is a two way road. People like to inform and become informed. For example I follow several media just to get new ideas, which I then can share here at ipernity.
Thanks for all your hard work, Doug
Since I have been laid off from work for a long time now and am in debt, I have no money for non-essential expenses this year and probably next when I get back on track. I really hope you will rethink your stance on free accounts. I did buy a membership right before all this went down while I was still working but cannot do so now.
I am so sorry to here that you have being laid off from work for so long, and are experiencing the consequences that situation causes on your personal finances. Regarding your hope the IMA will reconsider or rethink their stance regarding free accounts is not likely to happen for many reasons they have previously stated.
What do you think?
HappySnapper has replied to Xata clubHowever your suggestion has some merit and worth consideration, I am not sure though if enough donations could be raised to satisfy what I think will be many applications for assistance.
I think your suggestion is well meant and kind.
1 However alot of members have said that fee of €42 is high but some will struggle to pay. So asking for extra Euros probably would not be a runner.
2 Also as Maurice has stated there will be too many members like Cheryl who are not able to afford any fees at all, so in my opinion it would be impossible to financially support so many who have like Cheryl have stated that they will not be able the full €42. Some of these folks said they could afford the previous initial fee of €25 but that option is not being considered by the IMA.
So Xata as said your suggestion is well meant and kind. But not in my opinion a runner.
One last point alot of folks including myself would not accept financial support as well intended as is meant to because this effectively would make them into charitable case.
Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaTreasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubraingirl club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaPerhaps if we found a way to allow for general donations to ipernity, ima could get enough funds flowing to eventually be able to lower the price a bit.
fyi - there is a small group trying to figure out how to run a contest to pay for 1/2 year for the winner, at this point, one winner per month. logistics are still being worked out. The group is called "Win a Club Membership!".

- Scroll down and choose version www.ipernity.com
You open the site on "desktop view", and you are logged in.
This is strange because login works on ipernity for Android application, which uses pretty much the same pages.

Ipernity for Android still seem to work, but that of course does not help iPhone and iPad users.

But do you mean there is also some other issue of not being able to comment on those mobile pages?

raingirl club has replied to John Oram clubThat said, I still think at some point soon we may all need to renew, just maybe not all at the same moment (but like ima says in reply to you, we will get the 28 day notice).
