Ohh Mann, puhh! Ist es nun die Hitze, das Alter, oder die Gesundheit? Ich kann gar nicht mehr auseinander halten, warum ich mich bescheiden fühle. Früher hab ich mich bei jedem Sonnenstrahl auf unsere Wiese geflenzt und wie ein Hähnchen auf dem Grill gedreht. Heute traue ich mich nicht mal vor die Tür und muss mir mühsam Beschäftigung suchen. Und heute werde ich das Thermometer besonders beobachten, soll es doch wieder (!) einen neuen Hitzerekord geben, Waren es 34 °C, die angekündigt sind. Ich weiß, nicht, hab es aber auch wohl schon vor Schwäche vergessen. Vielleicht auch, weil es nicht wichtig ist für mich. Aber es erinnert mich an heiße Sommer in meiner Jugend in den 60ern, nur dass die mit Nass von oben angereichert waren. Teils auch heftiges Nass. Mit Hagel im Juli. Da sind wir ja gerade weit weg von mit diesem festgenagelten Hoch über uns.

A very close friend has just lost her 92 year old mother to kidney failure, about 0400 on Friday 13th April 2018. I may or may not be on-line for the next few days, as I will be travelling around and otherwise occupied. {Too soon for a funeral date, but sometime in the next two to three weeks, I expect.} updated - the Funeral will be on the morning of Monday, 30th April 2018.

I recorded the bird songs (posted in the Docs section) in my backyard using a small Olympus digital recorder. I converted the .WMA files into .mp3 files using software ( Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter ). I then filtered the background noise and applied a high pass filter also using software ( Audacity ) and exported the file in .mp3 format.

A general wish to all who use PiPs/notes on images. Please consider placing them close to the top left corner. Unless, you indeed wish to point out some spot on the main image. On modest sized displays, when notes are put more on right and close to bottom of the main picture, the less one can see of them on smaller display. The rest of the images becomes hidden outside of the display. And if there is no option to open them separately, then no chance to see them as a whole. Go ahead sh…

So sorry not to have posted for so long, but I had a terrible accident. I fell and broke my knee cap and is impossible to drive for a while - hence no photos. I wil be back in about 6 weeks time. In the meanwhile, let me take the opportunity to thank all my contacts for their support and kind comments on the site,.
