experimenting with low shutter speed to make blur!
- 765 visitsI went out into town this afternoon to try my hand at this skill! It was not easy at all in the beginning, but I think I have got the hang of it. I am trying to learn other skills to improve my photography.

It's carnival time again!
- 760 visitsMenton, famous for it's lemon festival is crowded at present. It was a pleasure to take photos, but the chances of getting good photos is not easy! I was pushed around, with people always getting in my way, but then that's the fun of it all - to try and get good photos in spite of that! There will be more coming from time to time.

Self-portrait
- 739 visitsThis is a pastel and hence very difficult technically to do! I spent hours on it, to give the world the right impression of who I am! I look a lot younger of course, as I have deleted the wrinkles. One can do that in art. One can't in a photograph! I hope you like it. As usual, your critics are very welcome!

Why do we take photographs?
- 735 visitsChristine Valin pro says: Why do we take photographs? Everyone for a different reason. Is it a passion? Or do you have the bug? Or have we made a choice not to live the instance, but to report it, so that we can relive the moment. I am obsessed with image, whether it is in painting or photography. What is your reason of taking photographs? Posted 4 minutes ago. ( permalink / reply / edit / delete )

I was selected at the Palais de Carnoles!
- 710 visitsThis was a competition on the gardens of Menton. I entered these five which were taken at the garden of "Val Rahmeh". The photo "round the centre" was chosen to be exhibited. So if you are in Menton why not take a look at it! Of course I was thrilled! The format was a little smaller than A3.

How the blind can see!
- 705 visitsThis is an exhibition organised by Webism, an international painting site. The theme is a very interesting one and I am personally concerned by it, as my twin sister Liz Steiger is totally blind. She used to paint for many years, and even paints now, although she is blind. If you are intersted in seeing her works she is on Ipernity under Baslerbebbi. The first album are drawings of the carnival in Basel, Switzerland and when she did these she saw with one eye. The second album is what she painte…

Les 4 saisons (in French)
- 689 visitsLes 4 saisons. Printemps : Cette…

They will be exhibited all September and October in a museum in Harderwijk. If anyone can visit it, please do, as it is a great collection of photographs. I will put up the one I selected for it, so that you have an idea! Must say I'm thrilled with the idea and will try to visit myself at the end of October.
