In my opinion - this type of photo, referred to above, in painting would be called "naturalism".
In painting, it isn't the art of the highest flight, at the highest level, although it requires very good mastering of the craftsmanship by the artist.
On the other hand, the nudity and photography of one's own body is already so rich in tradition that unfortunately, it isn't easy to be original and interesting photography only by directing the camera to its own intimate sphere.
The point here is, in my opinion, the question: can you really show "life" in some innovative way by showing what you are talking about? One can imagine that in this way someone could argue for showing excrement, faeces, or photos of childbirth, in the operating room. This is also life ...
Only - who would like to see it and how does it apply to the tradition of photography?
Probably not everyone who doesn't want to see and appreciated photo with an erected penis is a puritan and not everyone makes "worse things" in life. There is still (I hope) the concept of "borders of intimacy" - a certain culture of life, social culture and individual feeling. You can say: culture versus nature ... ;-) But cultural taboos didn't come out "of nowhere"and as you know - they also have a protective function.
When I am looking for a place on the Internet for photography, I expect something that is related to photography as art, in other words: I expect creativity, a bit of photo work and, if possible, minimal artistry.
If the photo portal (what I was thinking about the Iper, and there were more artists here at the beginning) does not offer what seems to be the reason for its existence - interesting photos - I'm a bit disappointed. But it's my personal opinion of course. :-)
