Postmarked Steelton (the Algoma Steel company town that is now just the west end of Sault Ste. Marie) on August 21, 1907, to Dumbarton, Ont. The message reads: "Ma is helping me. Steelton, Ont., Aug. 18, 1907 My Dear Cousin B. Excuse me for not writing before, but I have been busy looking for some flowers and will send you some later. How is Auntie and Gramma. We are well. This is the Boat I went on to see Grace. It is called "Alberta". It is a very nice ship + the dinner was great. Had a nice trip. Left Grace well + all the rest. Good bye for now. Postmarked October 1, 1910 at Sault Ste. Marie. No maker, but it says "No. 6 Made in Germany" on the back. The addressee is Miss Hilda A. Rogers, 52 Shannon Street, Toronto, Ont. -- the sender is her "Daddy" who tells her that he will be arriving by boat.

The road bridge and the rail bridge on the U.S. side, with the rail bridge having both a lift span and a raising span as it crosses the locks on the American side.

The St. Mary's Paper buildings are apparently being demolished. That is a great loss. They are building a huge new Canada Customs and tourist information area at the end of the Bridge. This requires the demolition of many buildings. St. Mary's Paper was the second big industrial plant in the Sault.
