This shady bench is at a nearby rural cemetery. A stitched panorama, taken from the bench area is in the PiP, showing the entire cemetery which is in two sections with a clear area between. Happy Bench Monday, everyone.

Taken in the Gundillion/Emu Flat Cemetery, where Pauline's funeral was held yesterday, after heavy rain and road flooding had originally prevented it last week. This time the weather was perfect and everything went without a hitch. I am sure that Pauline would have been very satisfied with it.
Afterward we went just a little further down the valley to the Gundillion Hall, where the local ladies' group (of which Pauline had been a member when we lived on our rural property) provided beautiful catering - tea/coffee, sandwiches and cake. Two photos of the hall are attached, taken after most people had left.

The community hall at Gundillion, out in the bush south of Braidwood and not far from the cemetery where, in a ceremony delayed by road flooding, we shall lay Pauline to rest next week.
Small halls such as this are the lifeblood of social life in most country areas of Australia. When we lived on our rural property, Pauline was a keen participant in the local ladies' sewing and craft group here. This time, we shall be attending for post-funeral reception catering - by the same group.
With mixed feelings, I wish you all a safe and enjoyable weekend. HFF, everyone.

Time for a landscape. Looking down the valley in one of my favourite areas. A little smoke in the sky from controlled burning. HFF, everyone.

In case my previous shot of our old letterbox seemed unusual, it's worth mentioning that rural letterboxes in Australia come in a huge diversity of styles - here are some more. I'd suggest best on black.
Explored.
