A quiet day on the coast. I hope that Pam will enjoy this. Explored.

Taken from much the same position as my previous image. Sadly, massive fires in March this year devastated much of the township of Tathra, right down to this spot. Even though it is late winter, the drought conditions continue and there is smoke from new fires burning inland. Explored.

A scene at the delightful coastal village of Tathra - taken two years ago. There are many more houses, hidden by the bushland.

Until the mid-20th century, poor roads along the coast meant that most freight was carried by coastal steamers. The heritage-listed Tathra wharf dates from the mid 1800s and is the only remaining coastal steamer wharf in NSW. To put this in its setting, my previous two images were taken on either side of the wharf. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.
