c12 south door, resolutely locked of course, and no local keyholder advertised. what is it about south essex vicars, don't they want anyone in their churches? it's so different in north essex!

the tower seems to have collapsed , as the lower parts are stone, but the top and sides are c17 brick

much of the east end of the church is c14, with a lot of victorian rebuilding.

the chancel and north chancel aisle are basically c14, the tower top is c17 brick
