this brickwork niche of c.1700 is probably by archer, and comes from what was butterwick house in hammersmith, of which part was re-erected there as bradmore house. this bit came here in 1913, and lives in the gardens by the graveyard.

the cemetery of the almshouses contains not just inmates and matrons but sir robert geffrye himself, removed here from the city church of st.dionis backchurch when that was demolished in 1878. his is the big tomb on the right, his wife is here too.
