I think this thermometer always reads too cool. I think it was actually closer to 70 degrees.

The air temperature was above 80°, but the huge boulder we sat on felt very cold. In order to try to get the temperature of the rock I stuck my thermometer in a stagnant pool in the shade on top of the rock.
