In the distance you can see the two clumps of trees at Palm Spring.

Lower Warm Springs is in the background.

Here you see a faint trail that leads from Lower Warm Springs, across the Chicken Strip and on into the valley. It almost looks like an animal trail, but is covered in human footprints, too.

FAA regulations say windsocks can be orange, yellow or "natural (white)." Nice arrangement, as it allows you to start with an orange windsock that remains legal as it fades away to nothing.
