Third day lucky again! The butterflies are returning to my garden! Although they were not still for long, I managed to get these two, the Red Admiral and I'm not sure if the other is a Pieris brassicae I think. Maybe one of you will know. It looks greener than it was because of all the background greenery.

Two butterflies, soon to be three! Cabbage whites?

On a wet and windy day like today, what else is there to do!

Can anyone tell me the name of this very small butterfly, no more that a 3cm wing span? I have come up with 2 possibilities - Brown Argus or Silver Studded Blue, but not sure!! Having looked at lots of pictures and sizes of particular butterflies, I now think this is a Common Blue female - Polyommatus icarus. So many look alike!!
