The South Korean speed skater Cha Min-kyu at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. He won the silver medal in speed skating 500 metres after the Norwegian Håvard Holmefjord Lorentzen. The bronze medal went to the Chinese Gao Tingyu. Tragic detail: he equalized the olympic record of 34,42 seconds, but the subsequent winner was 1/100 seconds faster.
