These vehicles were part of a display of privately owned collectors' hearses, hence the adornments that might not be to everyone's taste. The event was an open day, run by the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery, an historic burial ground in south London, for which the Friends were raising funds for improvements and conservation work.
The rear view of what I believe to be the same vehicle, has a number plate almost hidden below a plate, with the word BONES on it. The number plate is for a 1977 Cadillac hearse. This looks very similar to much later models - a 1991 Concours d'elegance model for example.
