This group of photos was taken on a disappointingly grey afternoon, following a bright frosty morning, during which I had other commitments! So these are mainly records of what was about, rather than sharp wildlife portraits. Now I know what is there, hopefully, a bright day will come along when I can get some better shots.

Although quite distant, I think that the main flock of birds consists mainly of Lapwings. They seemed to take off from one of the fields to the east of Mill Creek, currently flooded.

This part of the South Downs National Park lies on the coast between Seaford and Newhaven, in East Sussex.

Yes, I did get caught out in the open, but it didn't last long.
