If anyone has been confused by my misidentifying the blue E.Sussex CC Rider bus, right at the back of the photo., as a Renown bus, I apologise. I come from an area where they are Renown operated and their base is in Bexhill, close to Hastings, so I leapt to the wrong conclusion. Although I can't find a Stagecoach fleet list, YJ05 WCF is clearly not on the Renown list and 'Solenteer' shows it as a Stagecoach bus.

It would appear to be on Route 60 - the branding is there - it's turning out of West Street and turning north, so the omens are good. I just didn't see it soon enough to snap the front route indicator!

The reg.no. has been guessed. This is the only bus, branded for this service, of which I can find photos. On that basis it was still doing this run in 2010.

We had three trips to Bath in about five years around this time, so I can't be sure of the year.

Acton Depot houses the London Transport Museum's artifacts that are not on display in central London. Each year they have one or two open days, during which the public can wander round, see one-off displays, talk to staff, ride on buses and see the huge range of items that have been conserved by the Museum.

I was on this bus when the Rover cut across in front, causing the bus to swerve into a pavement safety barrier. There was a small amount of damage to both vehicles and no apparent injuries. As it was going to take a time to sort out the paperwork, I got off and crossed the road. It was then I spotted the Renault advert which appealed to my warped sense of humour!

Route 13X, out of the tourist season, is an hourly, Sundays only, service, between Brighton Station and Eastbourne Pier, via Birling Gap and Beachy Head. During the summer months it runs seven days a week and is branded as 13X Eastbourne Tourist Trail or 13X Brighton Tourist Trail. So although it is a timetabled service it is aimed at the tourist market.
