Jajce- 'Little Partisan' Steam Locomotive

02 Jul 2019 141
The steam locomotive standing outside the AVNOJ Museum was produced in a factory in Krauss Linz in 1903. During the Austro-Hungarian Empire, it was used by Jajce’s "Elektrobosna" company. The locomotive is named the "Little Partisan" because of the role it played during World War II transporting Croatian and Slovenian delegates to the Second Session of AVNOJ. At that time, it was the only steam locomotive operating in the free republic of Bihac. “Little Partisan” was declared an historic monument during the 58th session of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments.
