From Jeff Pippen - www.jeffpippen.com/naturephotos/hemaris-diffinis.htm If it can't be found in Kaufman Field Guide to Butterflies of North America , this site by Jeff is the one I go to. He has North Carolina-found species of many, many things that are in gardens/fields/woods. This is why one has nice neighbors .. they plant butterfly-attracting goodies for things that fly and photogs who live next door. Thank you, Danny ! © All Rights Reserved ** 3 notes - 1 in each upper Left corner ** --EXPLORE--

2013 December - 2016 April / July Update

05 Jul 2016 7 7 426
Oneida Mills re-furbishing continues .. The main photo was taken in 2013 -- before permits had been pulled and before this 100+ yr Mill met the rules for a ' Historic building. Being designated an Historic building took until 2015 December .... There are 3 notes across the top .. Left is 2016 April .. Center is 2016 July - showing quite a difference when compared to the original photo. Right is 2016 July - a bit of the inside as it is being developed. We have had so much rain, that there will probably be much interior work .... North Carolina clay would be very difficult to get equipment in for any deliveries .. This is the Update promised .... this is the longest building (with the Tower on the right) on Harden St. © All Rights Reserved

old has become new ..

2 notes added - 1 note added as it is being played by a friend - This djembe has been to many drum circles; it has been my go-to drum for practice; it has a good feel to it. Bought it several years ago at Target -- if you remember when Target had ads on TV for international type merchandise - this was one of the items .. sat on the floor at Target [ in FL ] and played every one on the shelves. Made 2 groups - some to play again -- others back to the shelves. The drum was hand-made in Africa. Always loved the sounds brought forth and the energy we exchanged. But, the head split when something fell on it. Was introduced to a soul who could fix it in North Carolina. There is no way to describe how it feels - another drummer would understand. There is an energy my new Friend left while re-heading it with deerskin. Such a sweet, mellow yet deep sound .... thank you, My Friend - for your talent and the part of your spirit which remains from your touch. Namaste, Peggy
